THE PAST AND THE FUTURE
The first edition of the LIVE IN A BOX Festival was an exercise in awareness of what we are capable of doing within the limits of our professional possibilities. In a context of social isolation and a national state of emergency, we managed to create an online Festival, using the same professional gestures that we would have to perform in the case of a real festival. We created a brand and started a festival, paying artists and their teams and motivating our people to continue with their work.
The LIVE IN A BOX Festival arises from two emerging needs during the pandemic: to make music reach the public, in a period in which the country was under total social isolation, and to stimulate the professionalization of the artistic sector and of all who collaborate with it, creating a logic of remuneration for the artists who were part of the festival’s lineup, as well as their teams. In spring 2022, and after the postponement of the 2021 edition, we will finally “get out of the box” and out of streaming. of the most beautiful that we find in these territories, which are Lusophony and Iberia.
The LIVE IN A BOX Festival also takes on the serious and compromising challenge of promoting the local economy of the host cities, in complicity with the local community for the development of tourist flows between Portugal and Spain. This will be a long-term project, celebrating Lusophone and Iberian Music in a dignified and honorable way, connecting the diversity of people from sister cultures.
The organization predicts that the LIVE IN A BOX 2022 Festival will also take place in Spain in the future, given the mission of continuity and growth that the festival intends to implement.
