The Museum of Portuguese Music is an institution supervised by the Municipality of Cascais, whose founding collection brings together the collections of Michel Giacometti and Fernando Lopes-Graça. Installed in the Casa Verdades de Faria, designed by the architect Raúl Lino, the Museum intends to establish itself as a cultural space of reference for the study, discussion and problematization of issues associated with Musical Identity.
With the mission of conserving, preserving, studying and promoting the assets entrusted to it in order to enhance its public presentation, contributing to an enrichment of the historical and cultural framework of Portuguese music, especially in the 20th and 21st centuries.
