Published in 1945, The Farm of Animals, by George Orwell, is a political and satirical text, but also a fable about the way we relate to each other.
Add to that the old theme of power, how irresistible it can be and, ultimately, how it corrupts. In times of uncertainty and fear, and while we are witnessing fierce exercises of power, nothing is more current and transversal than provoking a discussion about who is in charge. Who’s in charge here? Since “here” is a place of dissatisfaction, what if the children who come to see this play, taking advantage of the theater, appropriate the story? And if they triumph? What if, for a moment, they become the owners of the farm and we are pigs who obey?
