The Rancho de Cantadores de Aldeia Nova de São Bento, created 33 years ago, is heir to a long tradition recognized in the region as “land of good singers”. The group, aged between 16 and 93, represents with distinction the Cante Alentejano – considered in 2014 Cultural and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO – and conceived a concert designed as a celebration, which will take place at the Centro Cultural de Belém , in Lisbon, initially only on the 20th of March. With this show sold out, an extra date is now announced at the CCB the following day and, also, a concert in Porto, at Casa da Música, on the 28th of March. António Zambujo, Pedro Mestre ( viola campaniça) and Mafalda Vasques will be special guests on the 21st, joined by Luísa Sobral and Jorge Benvinda for the show on the 20th. the special guests.
Tickets are already available for the extra date in Lisbon and in Porto they are on sale since Tuesday, January 14th.
