The legendary Scorpions are back with a new album, Rock Believer, and a world tour to follow. The Rock Believer World Tour 2022 arrives at Altice Arena on May 10, 2022, right after the release of the new album scheduled for February next year.
During the confinement, the band took the opportunity to return to the studio in their homeland of Hanover, Germany, which led to the creation of new songs, and in turn, the new album of originals. The album, released on February 11, 2022, will have a sneak peak with the single “Peacemaker”, to be released on October 22. In addition to the new album, 2022 will be a very special year for the band as it is the celebration of the 50th anniversary of their debut album (January 22, 1972) which launched the ramp to international recognition.
Starting in Las Vegas, where they will be in residence at the Planet Hollywood Hotel until April 2022, the Rock Believer World Tour 2022 crosses the Atlantic directly to Europe to kick off the European tour. “We had so much fun recording the album and we did it with so much energy that we can’t wait to get back to playing live” say Matthias Jabs and Klaus Meine. “We’ve never had so much time away from the stage as during the pandemic. This only made our desire to play live increase, so we’re looking forward to getting back on the road.” Rudolf Schenker adds, “The fact that we will be back rocking live with the whole band to hundreds of thousands of people next year to present the new album gives me goosebumps. This album and tour will be very special milestones in our career. ”
Scorpions are Germany’s number 1 rock band – and one of the most important of the last decades -, which, to date, have accumulated more than 120 million sales, more than 5000 concerts in their luggage and countless classics that are still heard today. The band thus has an appointment with the Portuguese public on May 10, 2022, at Altice Arena.
