Village Underground and FWD Ever present the long-awaited return to Portugal of one of the oldest Reggae and Dancehall collectives in Europe: Pow Pow Movement.
Hailing from Cologne, Germany, the group has been active since the 1990s, with over 25 years of experience in clubs and venues across Europe. The collective has already been present at events such as Boarderweek, Parookaville, Carnival Sports and festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash, MEO Sudoeste or Sumol Summer Fest.
“Bruk Out” is a night entirely dedicated to sounds in the universe of Dancehall, Afrobeat, Soca and Reggae. The name is synonymous with “Real Dancehall Music”, a link between Caribbean rhythms, West African Afrobeat, Soca and Jamaican Reggae.
An authentic musical journey through the streets of Kingston, passing through Port of Spain in Trinidad and to West Africa.
Pow Pow Movement was one of the biggest influences for many local soundsystems, and now, after a few years without visiting Portugal, we will have the opportunity to remember that: “There is no Dance like a Pow Pow Dance!!!!”
The night will also feature performances by locals Don Andre and King Boost Sound.
