On April 11, at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho of the Lisbon City Council, the Nobel Conferences cycle begins. An initiative of the José Saramago Foundation, in partnership with the municipality, which aims to debate highly relevant topics in tune with the work of Saramago.
This inaugural session will be led by Alberto Manguel, curator of the initiative.
May 3 – with Maaza Mangiste, Ethiopian-American fiction writer, essayist and photographer.
July 4 – with Juan Gabriel Vásquez, Colombian writer.
October 3 – with Olga Tokarczuk, Polish novelist and short story writer.
November 3 – with Leila Slimani, French-Moroccan novelist and journalist.
