Musical Direction | Hélder Magalhães
Interpretation | Portuguese Orchestra of Guitars and Mandolins
In the program Nascente & Poente |東と西, four great original works will be performed for this formation, exclusively by Japanese and Portuguese composers, thus perpetuating the fascination of the exchange of cultural experiences between the two countries. A program that aims not only to evoke the cultural past that unites the two cultures, but also to show the contemporaneity and beauty of the current writing for this type of training, highlighting the strength and quality of Portuguese and Japanese orchestras.

OPGB currently has 19 effective musicians and several reinforcements that ensure the schedule of each concert. The Artistic Direction is in charge of António de Sousa Vieira. The Principal Conductor is Hélder Magalhães.
