kaptcha is a collective and artistic platform founded by ketia, sasha theft, Kerox, quendera and David – a band of cybersluts who fantasize about a world where the boundaries between humans and machines blur. The collective was established in the last 3 years of kit ket raves in Lisbon and aims to create an international inter and trans-border network of artists, bruxis and angels to share and receive energies through sound, community, love and redemption, functioning as a connecting medium. between this and other projects not necessarily linked to nightlife.
As clubs and parties opened across Europe in the summer of 2021, Lisbon’s rave scene slept like there was no tomorrow to wake up: SASHA THEFT stayed awake contemplating the times when being surrounded by people meant just pure peace of mind . With the help of an old and heavy laptop, ‘Amphibian Intermission’ was born from the symbiosis between Sasha’s feelings and a need for self-expression in less physical strategies, entangled in the fun of amateurism.
‘Amphibian Intermission’ is the manifestation of a sentimental rave; a hybrid product between sincere sounds that transport to the 90’s and a composition that could only result from today. A 40-minute experience that seems to pass in an instant, with each track materializing a different sonic landscape that cohabit the same ecosoundsystem. Promptly refusing to submit to genre, ‘Amphibian Intermission’ projects rave music paraphernalia.
On March 18, 2022, SASHA THEFT and friends, Ndr0n, ketia and Kerox will celebrate the album ‘Amphibian Intermission’ in what will be the first local event of the new label and kaptcha collective in Lisbon.
