“Ninguém Nos Vai Tirar O Sol” is the title of Joana Espadinha’s new album. It’s also the title of the song that Joana surprised us with last May. In fact, since then she has been revealing the themes that make up the album: “Dar Answer”; “The Prince and the Frog”; “Queda Prá Desgraça” or the unparalleled “Mau Feitio” have been our company.
If three years ago he took us to dance at a pop ball with “O Material Tem Semper Razão”, the return to editions with the album that hit the shelves is done with the same musical assertiveness, although, in lyrical terms, the irony is decipherable in a set of letters where the elegance in the detail stands out. The new “Astronaut”, “Um Sentimento” or “Quem Me Deira Saber Que Sou Feliz” are a happy testimony to this.
This return to Teatro Maria Matos celebrates “Ninguém Nos Vai Tirar O Sol” but neither “Avesso”, his 2014 solo debut album, nor unforgettable songs like “Leva-me A Dançar” or “Pensa Bem”, inevitable hymns. of its 2018 registration “The Material Is Always Right”, will be deprecated.
A concert in which genuine pop will be queen – shaking your hips and activating the circulation of emotions will be the maximum on this night. And all this to the sound of the strong and crystalline, emancipated and seductive voice of Joana Espadinha.
