If I Were… Painter
Museum of São Roque (12 Mar) and National Museum of Ancient Art (19 Mar)
Workshop for families with children from 6 to 12 years old
If you were a painter 550 years ago… where would you get your paints and materials? Today it’s easy and fast, but it used to be more complicated. Let’s learn how to make the paints and see how the artists of old were able to fill their paintings with colors and figures.
At the São Roque Museum, participants will have contact with some paintings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, getting to know their themes, techniques and supports. The following week, at the National Museum of Ancient Art, we will discover the most important works in its painting collection.
Free participation by appointment. Max. 10 participants. Registration exclusively for the two sessions.
