For the second edition of Another Side of Music, we invited artists to bring us into a world of culture and traditions where feelings and music combine together to create a unique shape of emotions. Stop by. Have a beer. Enjoy some sounds that might take you to the other side.
Cláudio Nascimento (Musician and Ethnomusicologist). He studied at Conservatório Pernambucano de Música – Brazil, has a degree in Music at UFPE – Brazil (2006). He has worked as a musician with several artists including: Elza Soares, Fafá de Belém among other names. Currently he is a researcher in the project: Street Musician: cosmopolitanism, conflict, and urbanity, developed in the scope of the project “Sounds of Tourism in Lisbon”.
Gu Nunes (São Paulo, 1990). Musician. Graduated in Clarinet by Escola de Música do Estado de São Paulo, by Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” and by Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra (Lisbon). Specialized in contemporary music, interlanguage experimentation practices and popular music, currently develops projects with groups of different musical strands with a focus on Brazilian music but also on world music.
