A Minha Cabeça portrays the colonialist estate of a family after the 25th of April on their return to Portugal. One of the objects in this collection is an ivory bust – an elephant tusk carved in the shape of a head. From the certification process of the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests, which the legislation requires for the creation of the registration of ivory pieces over forty years old, a web of geographical and family relationships is established. Following the trail of the ivory that provided the economic resources of this family on their return to Portugal, narratives of the past and the present are confronted. Carla Bolito has an extensive and recognized work in theater and cinema. She created creations with Rafaela Santos, Cláudio da Silva and Anabela Brígida. She wrote and staged Transfer. The play Transfer was one of the texts selected in the IPLB Novas Dramaturgias Competition, thus obtaining its publication. She recently staged Exercises for Strong Knees by Andreas Flourakis. In 2016 she created Estado Zero with Tiago Mateus and Marcello Urgeghe.
