Less than 1 month to go until the start of the Festival LIVE IN A BOX – Lusófona e Ibérica Music – which takes place from 14 to 16 April 2022, simultaneously at the Teatro Municipal de Bragança, at the São Luiz Teatro Municipal, in Lisbon, and at the Teatro das Figuras, in Faro. 3 cities, 3 rooms, 3 days, 9 artists and 18 concerts! From the 14th to the 16th of April 2022, the Teatro Municipal de Bragança, the São Luiz Teatro Municipal de Lisboa and the Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, open the doors to the first edition of the LIVE IN A BOX Festival. The LIVE IN A BOX 2022 Festival lineup features the presence of recognized and established names of Lusophone and Iberian Music: CARLÃO (Portugal), CARLES DÉNIA (Spain), CRISTINA BRANCO (Portugal), FOGO FOGO (Portugal/Cape Verde), JÚLIO RESENDE (Portugal), LUCA ARGEL (Brazil/Portugal), LUÍSA SOBRAL (Portugal), MORENO VELOSO (Brazil) and SARA CORREIA (Portugal). Filho da Mãe: new single and video “A Um Osso”. Pre-presentation concert of the new album “Terra Dormente” – CULTURGEST, LISBON – 16 MARCH

“A Um Osso” is the first single from Filho da Mãe’s upcoming album, “Terra Dormente”, which will be released on April 8 by Omnichord Records. “A Um Osso” was recorded in Ílhavo, in the Capela da Biblioteca Municipal, in August 2021, in a period still very marked by the effects of the pandemic with successive confinements and deflation. One could imagine a complicated following year with “a thousand dogs to a bone” from which the name of the song comes. It was a two-way fight between Filho da Mãe on the guitar and Hugo Valverde behind the microphones with some ideas flying against the walls of the chapel and finding salvation at the dinner table. Several takes were followed over the days and attempts to tame the music until finally, already in the process of mixing the record, it ended up revealing itself naturally. It is a mark of strength in “Terra Dormente”, an album that walks between two diffuse worlds, which suggests duplicated images and reflections that oppose a so-called “reality” to any other world. STORM FACTORY: NEW PROJECT BY RUI MAIA AND GIULIA GALLINA PRESENTS DEBUT RECORD ON MARCH 17

Storm Factory gives its name to the artistic project that was born from the meeting between the musician Rui Maia, who we know from X-Wife or Mirror People, with Giulia Gallina, an Italian composer living in Portugal and who we know from projects like The Loafing Heroes. After performing in 2021 with the single Corporeal, on March 17 they released their eponymous debut album, in which they built a distinct and unique sound environment, with contemplative, dreamy and cinematic features, born from the piano’s relationship with environmental electronics and experimental. The debut album came from the desire of the two musicians to develop a new aesthetic path born from the fusion of the neoclassical and minimalist pieces and compositions of Giulia Gallina, with the sound, environmental and electronic explorations of Rui Maia.
